Your new role
Your new job working as a Reinsurance Technician means you will be responsible for Cover note administration by ensuring high quality data and ‘right first time’ contract set up within the core reinsurance systems as well as identifying and calculating reinsurance asset, issuance and monitoring of reinsurance claims collection notes as per contract terms and conditions for XOL, facultative and quota share covers. Producing Large Loss Reports, Risk and Claim bordereaux to support reinsurance accounts and assisting with the calculation and booking of premiums, Premium Adjustments, Profit Commission & NCB etc within core systems. You will also be responsible for establishing and coordinating Client and broker meetings in order to support understanding their external stakeholder needs and expectations as well as liaising with cash analysts, underwriting departments, Claims department, brokers and clients to resolve queries. Other duties will include ensuring maximisation of processing on LORS for Syndicate data and adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Junior Reinsurance Technician with 1-2 years’ experience, Reinsurance Technician with Proportional Treaty experience, Outwards Reinsurance Technician with Senior Ceded Outward experience or a Ceded Reinsurance Technician/Adjuster will contribute to your success in securing this role. Ideally, you will have London Market and Lloyd’s Syndicate experience. You will have the ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment and will have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
